Every time it's time to review costs and internal processes in the company. In crisis and with the high dollar, this review becomes even more important. Here at the FLOW we are always looking to find legal ways to generate some savings in the process. Joining a little there, a little here, the reduction can impact a lot on the final cost of import.
An alternative that we use for a long time, with consolidated loads (smaller than a container) is to import here to the South (RS), the port of Santos, rather than importing the port of Rio Grande. Remembering, it's worth just to load LCL (consolidated with other loads, 15CBM down approximately – depends on agent to agent).
The storage of Large River today has two types of service that has minimum taxation – storage and the Loyal Deposit rate. We open more in detail the values below:
Storage-0.04% per day on the CIF value at Least 600.00 R$
Loyal deposit-0.35% of the CIF value at least 600.00 R$

A shipment via Santos, the load has storage for exemption 10-15 days (depending on the bargaining agent). There are to be be careful, for this economy does not come out more expensive. Below are a few reminders to avoid trauma if you choose to try this service:
- Documentation – the original and copy of all documents before the cargo arrives in Santos, because it will be necessary to make the process of the DTA.
- Weight and Divergences – East well the exporter to handle even more of the gross weight of the goods, the identity and quantities of volumes in the documents. When the cargo arrives in Santos, in addition to the extract of breakdowns, it is heavy and any divergence of information found, the importer must request amendment of BL. This can take up to 30 days and then the storage of Saints who is very tall, after 10-15 days for an exemption from the agent;
